Here are wishes for a wonderful and peaceful Holiday Season to you, Sue! Books and yarn definitely do not count in the "too much stuff" department! Your suggestions for gifts are great and I can't agree more with giving useful gifts rather than more stuff. How interesting about the Eastern European music and your heritage - our DNA is amazing. Thank you for another great post!

I love the anecdote about being so moved by listening to Kitka and then later finding out about your geneological connection.

Homemade and handcrafted gifts are the best, along with practical items the receiver might not do for themselves. The Hush is apt for this time of year. Cheers, neighbor!

Don't you love that word/concept - Hush? Homemade gifts are best. Thanks for your comment, April.

Thank you, Sue. Since my birthday (and the birthday of our firstborn) falls in the week between Christmas and New Year, it has been our habit to rest, recharge, and pause before a fresh new year begins. I never thought to name that time but now I'm sure I will always think of it as The Hush. Blessed days to you and yours!💙
