which is why I'm doing something every day to deal with it. Not sure I have the quarter mil it takes to move.

I remember a skunk on the cutoff who turned me around! Perhaps the same Le pieu.! I've buried a dead skunk that sprayed my two dogs. One of my pups brought the dead one to me. What a thrill

I also have a skunk tale, which I will not share because although it happened in my youth, it might color your impression of my character and (lack of) critical thinking ability, Sue has heard it though.

What great skunk stories (well, they may not have been at the time, but hindsight colors events in ways we can appreciate later)! Thank you for this peek at an animal we may disregard because of their reputation. I've had the good fortune to see baby skunks, and even though they are well armed and one stays a distance away, they sure are cute!

Another fascinating read, Sue. Thank you! While I am certainly familiar with the smell, I’ve never encountered a skunk in the wild. I’m even happier about this after reading your tales.

Fun tidbit from a wildlife bio I know, If you are encountering a western spotted skunk, the back side of the skunk IS the side you want. They will face you, then flip their back end over their head to deliver the Elon.

Interesting! I learned in my research that each species of skunks has developed specific adaptations like the handstand, etc.

focused on dealing with my stuff and doing a lot of online searching this summer. Waiting to see how bad things are going to get here in the USA...

Oh, goodness. Those are quite the tales. I'm grateful that I don't have any skunk stories to share!
